Naturopathy derives its root in ayurveda & propounds in the idea of five great elements that constitue the animate world. It believes that in positive health, all these five elements must remain in prefect balance & we suffer only due to aberration from natural way of life that creates imbalance. In the process of healing, it believes that human body has an innate power to heal itself from within and hence does not require any extrenal aganecy for help. Drug has no place in naturapthy as it strives to imbibe the innate power of the body to face eventualities. Life style modification is therefore of key importance.

Focusing on the inner balance and energy in one’s body, Naturopathy is the alternative healing science that uses natural elements to look for the cause and then treat accordingly against just curing the symptoms of the disorder. It uses the body’s natural defense mechanism to remove the cause of the disorder in the most gentle and effective way possible.

Since Naturopathy treatments in India uses elements present in nature as the core therapy, an understanding of the elements is important to begin with. There are five main elements nature comprises of, which are Jal (Water), Vayu (Air), Akash (Sky), Agni (Fire) and Prithvi (Earth). These together are also known as Panchamahabhuta, which are also one of the chief attributes that form our body.
